EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF DENSITY EFFECT ON TSUNAMI BORE FORCES ON VERTICAL WALLS

In the tsunami generated by 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, black tsunamis were identified in many locations. According to Kise and Arikawa (2020), areas where samples obtained, seawater was found be mixed with silt components about 10 percent. They also reported that a large impulsive wave pressure might when silt-mixed acted on vertical wall as bore. Although there have been studies mechanism of bore-shaped (e.g., Co Yeh, 2018), effects sand mixing rarely investigated. Therefore, this research, experiments various states density conducted clarify verify effect pressures.
